happy thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving falls on Channukah. Both holidays are meant to celebrate gratitude and the connecting roots of family. It’s a rare event to have them coincide on the same day for a double dose of thankfulness. I am doubly blessed this year to be with my family and to feel the warmth of Scott’s family’s embrace, too. We all miss him and we are all dealing with it in our own way. Sharing Scott’s art and his message of poscottivity with the world is soothing to me.

It’s a strange feeling to be on a road trip without Scott. I drove 800 miles to eat turkey with my family despite recent below zero wind chill factor. The dogs are here. I’m here. Maybe Scott’s along for the ride after all. The proof? My mother and I played a game of Scrabble last night and the first three letters I drew from the bag were G O A. Made me smile and laugh out loud.

May everyone have a reason to smile and give thanks this Thursday.
Peace.

  1. I love that painting Katy the tree is floating or so it appears.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Channukah all rolled into one, best wishes from a rather cold Scotland πŸ™‚
