Yesterday Pope Francis arrived in America to great fanfare and non-stop media coverage. Coincidentally, yesterday was also the Jewish day of atonement–Yom Kippur–the holiest day of the year in the Jewish faith.

Scott created this watercolor painting which he titled “The Jewish Pope”. We were in Goa on the trip of a lifetime when Pope Francis ascended to the papal throne and was being hailed as a breath of fresh air at the vatican.
