Sometimes you get a layer of misty sea-smoke surrounding our island. Often the Deer Isle-Sedgwick Bridge appears as a sudden apparition through the foggy veil between this world and the next. This painting has a watercolor-like quality to it that of course reminds me of my favorite artist. Perhaps we painted it together while I was dreaming?

When the veil lifts, the clarity of blue skies, blue eyes, open heart can take your breath away. It did mine.
