locked out of heaven

“Believe your heart. Believe in yourself. You are on the right path. You are love and you are loved. Never forget.” I offer this to my readers as confirmation that there is more to this life than appears at first glance.

This week I consulted grief counselor / psychic Vincent Genna in Raleigh for the first time in person, having already spoken to him two previous times via phone with good results. I won’t share the details of my reading with you except to say that I received a few very clear messages from loved ones who have passed away. I will share the “proof” of how I know the rest of the reading resonates as true for me.

Vince said Scott was there and told him to tell me, “Bruno.”  I said, I don’t know any Bruno. Vince said,  He’s saying Bruno Mars…? Does that mean something to you?

Oh My God.  There is a Bruno Mars song had special meaning for me and Scott. It was the last album we bought together and was a huge hit while he was lying incapacitated in bed in India. We downloaded the album to his iPad and played it over and over again for about a week. During that week he would sing along and squeeze my hand and look at me longingly. Then he would say to me that I was “The One” and that he “was locked out of heaven before you came along and I didn’t even know it, fishgirl!”.

Locked Out of Heaven

Oh yeah yeah

Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
Ooh!
Oh yeah yeah
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
Ooh!

Never had much faith in love or miracles
Never wanna put my heart on the line
But swimming in your world is something spiritual
I’m born again every time you spend the night

Cause your sex takes me to paradise
Yeah your sex takes me to paradise
And it shows, yeah, yeah, yeah
Cause you make me feel like, I’ve been locked out of heaven
For too long, For too long
Yeah you make me feel like, I’ve been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long

Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
Ooh!
Oh yeah yeah
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
Ooh!

You bring me to my knees
You make me testify
You can make a sinner change his ways
Open up your gates cause I can’t wait to see the light
And right there is where I wanna stay

Cause your heart takes me to paradise
Yeah your heart takes me to paradise
And it shows, yeah, yeah, yeah
Cause you make feel like, I’ve been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long
Yeah you make feel like, I’ve been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long

Oh oh oh oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Can’t I just stay here
Spend the rest of my days here
Oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Can’t I just stay here
Spend the rest of my days here

Cause you make feel like, I’ve been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long
Yeah you make feel like, I’ve been locked out of heaven
For too long, for too long

Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
Ooh!
Oh yeah yeah
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
Oh yeah yeah year yeah
Ooh!

I had forgotten about this part of our journey in Goa until my reading with Vince. If you would like to consult him yourself, check out this link and book a reading. You don’t need to go in person– my first two readings by phone were even more incredible. Be sure to mention that you were referred by me when you fill out the online booking form and you will be given a $10 off courtesy toward the cost of your reading.

Vince also told me to ask for an “undeniable sign” whenever I was doubting my path and the signs I was being given. I did that as I drove away from his house. I rounded the corner of his street and stopped my car as if on cue. Fifteen feet away from me in a sunlit field of green was a huge hawk, standing upright to full height on the ground. Steady, unmoving even as I slowly drove by her. I knew that the Hawk represents The Messenger in shamanic Native American symbolism. Hawk looked me in the eye and held my gaze long after I drove away.
