the good fun of what’s unexplainable

Today I saw my first butterfly of the year. A small white winged beauty fluttered by me at a particularly poignant moment. A short while later I spied two cardinals–a bright red male and a dull brownish green female–kissing each other. They were sitting on a banister under my bird-feeder and they held their kiss of a good 20 seconds or more. Even though it is April Fool’s Day, I kid you not!
