crazy wisdom

This is Scott hamming it up back home in High Point in front of his iMac built in camera. Just a typical morning where I would have just gotten up with a yawn but Scott would have already been up for hours playing. Always playing. Having fun. Entertaining himself and others. The chubby cheeks are gone but the Smile 2 the End is still …

customer satisfaction

We received this nice photo and email from a satisfied collector of GOING TO GOA | paintings by scott morgan this morning. I wish Scott could see how cool his book looks on this fan’s coffee table! He is hangin’ in there but his vision is not what it was now. Maybe it’s even better…The reason I say that is over the weekend he saw some interesting things. Saturday morning he woke up and in a gleeful…

independence daze

Hey! Where’s the red, white, ‘n’ blue? The buildings draped in patriotic stars ‘n’ stripe bunting? The smell of apple pie and taste of lemonade sold at roadside stands by kids capturing foot traffic from the parade route? Where are all the folks we meet n greet n wish a happy summer n catch up with on their winters and it’s always the same, reassuring, comforting scene? The Fourth of July memories are there…in my heart, chakras wide open…with my other treasures.

sister love

Scott did this portrait of us awhile back and I just discovered it on his iPad. We said goodbye to his sister Lindy yesterday. That was very very hard to do. Although we have been extraordinarily open with our story up to this point, there are many more moments now of the sense that words are not adequate to express the enormity of the situation. Plus there are too many facets to it…where do I begin. I am daily moved by the kindness of strangers, both here in Goa and globally in the blogosphere. I am bowled over continually by the outpouring of love and grace from family and friends–his, mine, ours– and unexpected places. …

love notes

Luca left these stickynotes all over the room for Scott the morning he left us. He realized Scott couldn’t get up to see them but his desired intention was to recreate a Scott Morgan experience. You see, I was delighted to discover that Scott used to leave love notes all over Luca’s house whenever he visited ( in odd places to be discovered later on at unexpected….

july? july!

Because Scott never ever ever deletes any pics from his devices, we were able to see photos from July 4th two years ago in Deer Isle, Maine. Our island’s Independence Day Parade is so small it literally goes by twice! It’s our little family tradition and a great way to see all our neighbors and friends and artists on the island. Hope you and your families all have a fantastic 4th of …

puppy love

Meet Bandit. He’s an Indian mongrel dog rescued by our friends Cory & Sarah shown here with their puppy and Scott. This was the best therapy for Scott today and it was puppy love from the minute we both laid eyes on this charmer. We miss our own two kidz but we know they are being well taken care of ..

yippee sippy

We’ve been searching all over Goa for a simple “sippy cup” at baby stores and sports stores and could not find what we needed. Luckily Scott’s sister Lindy was coming from America to visit us and asked if we had any requests. Mine was unscented deodorant as I was tired of smelling like a rose…
